Dawn at Digley

Article text
On the ground inch thick frost like a short hand version of snow but harder lit up our way. It's crisp packet crunching led us through dawns darkest moment through silent pines to a grassy bank on Digley's North shore.

A slight eraser wind crept off the moors stealing most of dawns reflections.Yet in still shore side pools pink patches of sky began slipping onto the water.

Holme Moss Transmitter stood against blue black dawn sky. It's red warning lights twinkled like stars on a stick. There was a wink about the moon too and across Digley the breeze brought it's creamy reflection towards us.

In the Eastern sky a bank of still cloud ignited by a sun just over the horizon bled a crimson transfusion of dawn warmth and colour.Drops fell into Digley to be wind pushed to those silent still pools.Cold blue black reflections warmed blood bath red on the winds ebb and flow.

The turning tide of night to day. When stars and moon shine on as the cold light of dawn warms slowly to melt darkness into day.
